Madam,

I was pleasantly surprised to read in last week’s Cambrian News of Gwynedd Council’s U-turn, after parents in the Dolgellau area objected to the council’s mad-cap idea of placing nine-year-olds on the same campus as secondary school pupils in the planned new Ysgol Bro Idris in the town. Pleasantly surprised that is until reading in the same report that the council “had not ruled out the possibility of the model being adopted at a later date”. So what’s their game? Has the Plaid–run council really seen the error of its ways or is it that next May’s council elections are drawing nearer by the day? Beware of those who bring gifts!

Yours etc

Cllr Alwyn Gruffydd

Llais Gwynedd
