MEMBERS of the Salvation Army in Aberystwyth are busy preparing gifts and food parcels for people in need this Christmas.
For most people the Christmas season is about fun, presents, family, parties and sharing.
But for some the season means very different things - hardship, loneliness, hunger, sadness and desperation.
This year, as in previous years, The Salvation Army in Aberystwyth is working with various agencies to ensure that gifts for all who are in need are sought and given along with food parcels for the families in our community who need the most help.
Lieutenant Claire Durrant, one of the ministers at The Salvation Army, said: “Very little of the work of The Salvation Army would be possible without the support of the general public and so we are asking, once again, for help to bring some happiness and change lives this Christmas.
