A service to celebrate 200 years of the Royal National Lifeboat Insitution has been held in Meirionnydd.

The Archbishop of Wales, the Most Reverend Andrew John, officiated the service to celebrate the anniversary of the RLNI at St Peter's Church in Aberdyfi on Sunday, 15 July, assisted by the vicar, Rev Ruth Hansford and the team from the local RLNI station.

Following the service, the Archbishop went from the church to the lifeboat station to bless the boat and all involved.
