THE FINAL performance of Aberdyfi Players’ 2016 pantomime, The Wizard of Oz, was held on Saturday, 6 February, to an enthusiastic full house. Louis Hiatt, chairman of Aberdyfi Players, said: “On behalf of Aberdyfi Players, I would like to thank everyone for their great support for this year’s panto. “Over the six performances we’ve held, nearly 1,500 people have been able to follow the adventures of Dorothy and her friends along the Yellow Brick Road. “Our last weekend of performances were played to a completely full house, so we really appreciate the tremendous and loyal support we receive year after year.”
“As always we strive to put on the best pantomime that we possible can, and that means months of hard work before the opening night. “Apart from the wonderful actors there are many people who work behind the scenes doing amazing things. So my thanks go to everyone; to all in Aberdyfi Players and to our great audiences who came along to watch.”
“We’re always on the lookout for new talent and we welcome people of all ages who would like to be part of our wonderful Aberdyfi Players. Do please come and join us, and we look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s panto.”
