Last Saturday we decided to shop in Lampeter just for a change. And what a pleasant surprise it was to find an impressive array of colourful and well tended planters and hanging baskets all round the town.
Such a contrast to the sad sight of unkempt and weed filled planters and baskets in Aberystwyth. This morning we decided to do the scenic riverbank walk from Rhydyfelin to Tanybwlch.
We hardly saw the river as our view was mostly blocked by Himalayan balsam,Japanese knotweed and a jungle of overgrown trees and bushes.
Whilst appreciating the constraints imposed by the pandemic on resource allocation it would seem that a council that seeks to promote Aber as a tourist destination might have got its priorities wrong.
