A DRINK driver who got behind the wheel while more than three times the legal limit has been banned from the road for three years.
Jan Wagenknacht, of Ger y Ffynnon, Swyddffynon, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 15 December.
The 46-year-old was stopped by police driving a black BMW on the B4340 near Trawscoed on 27 November, the court heard.
Roadside and police station breath tests showed that Wagenknacht had 110 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres - more than three times the legal limit of 35mcgs.
Magistrates disqualified Wagenknacht from driving for 36 months.
Wagenknacht was also made the subject of a 12 month community order to include 60 hours of unpaid work and must pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
