ABERYSTWYTH lifeboat crew have rushed to the aid of a stricken fishing vessel at the entrance to the town’s harbour.
The crew at Aberystwyth RNLI were called to the aid of the vessel, which is thought to have run aground at the trap, at around 8pm this evening.
The inshore lifeboat has a tow line attached to the stricken vessel, which has a Falmouth registration number, and the Aberystwyth Atlantic 35 managed to pull the vessel free.
One eye-witness on the scene said the vessel had run aground and the hull could be heard scraping on the rocks, but is now free from the seabed.
Around 30 emergency service personnel are on the scene, with around 50 onlookers.
